Sonia joined Forbes Hare in 2016 as a Partner in the Firm’s Cayman Islands office. She has extensive experience advising private investors, hoteliers, property developers, landlords and tenants on all aspects of Cayman Islands real estate law, including commercial and residential sales and purchases, leasing and licensing, bank financing, planning issues, construction and development, and strata title issues. Sonia also has extensive experience advising on banking and corporate finance matters, local business and licensing matters, and general corporate and commercial matters. Prior to joining Forbes Hare, Sonia headed the real estate team in the Cayman Islands office of Mourant Ozannes, and prior to that, she worked at Appleby and Walkers. She has been top ranked by the Legal 500 publication for real estate in the Cayman Islands for many years.
Sonia is also a Notary Public.
