Bronwyn King is a Partner in the Investment Funds and Corporate Practice at Forbes Hare, bringing over 20 years of legal experience in the financial services sector.
With a background in investment funds, asset management, regulatory compliance, and corporate transactions, Bronwyn is well-regarded for her strategic insight and deep understanding of the industry.
She began her career at Simmons & Simmons in Shanghai, where she honed her skills after studying at the prestigious Fudan University. Bronwyn spent over six years practicing in mainland China, making her one of the few offshore lawyers with extensive onshore legal experience, a unique asset in today’s interconnected market.
Since 2006, Bronwyn has been a key member of the investment funds teams at leading offshore law firms, playing an instrumental role in their growth and success. Prior to joining Forbes Hare, she served as a Partner at Harney Westwood & Riegels, where she was pivotal in developing an award-winning investment funds team. Her commitment to excellence led her to become the head of Asia Pacific at an offshore start-up law firm, affiliated with a major corporate service provider listed on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange.
Bronwyn’s practice emphasizes the structuring, formation, and operation of a diverse range of alternative asset classes, including private equity, venture capital, hedge and hybrid funds, real estate funds, infrastructure projects, ESG initiatives, fintech, cryptocurrency, joint venture arrangements, and downstream private equity transactions.
