Karen has a broad range of experience in advising on corporate and commercial law transactions, including corporate restructurings, banking and finance transactions (in particular property finance), mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private and public equity transactions.
Karen has acted as offshore counsel for a number of multinational groups (including several listed companies) with respect to corporate reorganisations, finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions. Karen also has extensive experience in banking and finance transactions, acting for both borrowers and lenders. Many of the transactions with which Karen deals have a cross border element involving lawyers and professionals from several jurisdictions.
Before joining Forbes Hare Karen practised for nearly five years in the corporate department of Maples and Calder in the British Virgin Islands. She trained and qualified at City firm Rosling King and subsequently practised in the corporate department of Lester Aldridge.
Karen is a member of Forbes Hare’s Latin American Practice Group and is fluent in Spanish.
